Aunty Betty Tan, Senior Volunteer

Aunty Betty has retired and she spends her time wisely by volunteering with various social service organisations. She loves to do crafting during her free time and is committed to nurturing the less fortunate to be craftrepreneurs.

Aunty Susan Thong, Cancer Warrior

Aunty Susan is undergoing stage 4 lung cancer treatment and is grounded at home. Through crafting, she gains strength and adopts the “never-say-die” attitude. Let us continue to inspire her with hope, patience and courage through her treatment.

Shermine Tan, Mental Health Warrior 

Shermine is seeking professional help and working towards recovery. Mental illness is not a choice and she needs your compassion, support and strength. She hopes to gain confidence and slowly integrate back to society through crafting. 

Jacklyn has lots of wonderful stories to share but she don't have the voice. She wishes to share her story, love, and strength with you through her stitches and gifts that she has created.

Faz, brave mother of 5 young children 

Being a mother is not an easy task. Moreover, Faz has 5 young children who need her loving care and support. Let us help her through this arduous time by supporting her craft work. 

Joycelyn, persons with Autism

Joycelyn is unable to work due to her medical conditions. She is happy to do packaging with Social Gifting. Each person with autism has a distinct set of strengths and challenges and she hopes people can see her beyond her label.

Nenek Imah, elderly living alone

Nenek Imah lives alone in a one-room rental flat at Lavender. She wishes to continue ageing in the community as long as possible. Help her alleviate loneliness and gain strength by supporting her craftwork.

Granny Linda, proud granny of four

Family is everything to Granny Linda. She raised her children singlehandedly and did everything she can to provide care for her family. She loves to do crafting during her free time and hopes to bring more income to her family through crafting.

Mdm Freda,

Retiree

Mdm Freda retired to help look after her grandchild. Now that her little one is slightly older, she wishes to do more for herself during her spare time. She’s passionate about sewing and knitting and had dreamt of sharing her creations with others. Hoping to enhance her skills and becoming more active through her silver years, she has embarked on a journey with Social Gifting to find her true strengths.

Lions Befrienders
(Ghim Moh)

LB (Ghim Moh) serves more than 300 seniors staying around the Ghim Moh rental estate. They provide free activities to promote active ageing and combat social isolation among seniors at risk of social isolation. 

Social Gifting partners Lions Befrienders by providing free crafting sessions with the seniors and raise funds to empower LB to organise more free and meaningful activities for the seniors.

SASCO Senior Citizens' Home

SASCO ​Senior Citizens’ Home currently runs1 Sheltered Home, 4 Day Care Centres, 2 Senior Activity Centres and serve more than 300 beneficiaries. Your support allows them to care for the sick, frail and needy elderly.

Social Gifting partners SASCO by providing free crafting sessions with the seniors to improve seniors' fine motor skills & gain self competency. 

Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled

Bishan Home promotes lifelong learning opportunities for adults with intellectual disability. They aim to develop and extend skills through providing active support to enable clients to achieve the quality of life that promotes independence and integration.

MINDS (Idea-Employment Development Centre)

MINDS IEDC supports people with intellectual disabilities through vocation training and various employment aids since 1992. 

Social Gifting partners MINDS by engaging their beneficiaries with packaging jobs and raise funds to promote employment for people with special needs. 

Bizlink Centre Singapore  - Sheltered Workshop Program

Bizlink serves the disadvantaged individuals, in particular persons with disabilities, through training and employment in Singapore​.

NCID Cares
(Red Ribbon Project)

The Red Ribbon Project was initiated to help rebuild self-confidence and self-esteem of patients living with HIV and integrate them  into society.

Crafting equips the patients with life skills through social interaction and helps them cope with psychosocial needs.

 

Supporting their work provides the crafters hope and acceptance and help them cope effectively in the different stages of their life and enhance their quality of life.
