Impact

At some point in our lives we’ve all had to rely on the kindness of strangers. Having a community to support those who need it, when they need it most, is why we started Social Gifting.

Our crafters are differently-abled with special needs, and terminal illnesses. Being able to create products empowers them, and helps them earn a passive income. Working allows them to be givers instead of beneficiaries. Join us to empower them.

Our mission

Our Core Value

Our Logo

We support 6 out of the 17 UN Global Sustainability Goals

Goal 03 - Good health & Wellbeing

Crafting improves mental wellness and self-esteem . Since 2018, we have created 32,508 gifts with our differently-abled crafters, including 8,000 masks for people in need.

Goal 05 - Gender Equality

Everyone has an equal opportunity to craft & empower others. Since 2018, we have conducted 141 crafting sessions over 2,547 hours & provide women opportunities to work from home & leadership roles.

Goal 08 - Decent Work & Economic Growth

We work with people with special needs to find strengths & gain passive income. Since 2018, we have disbursed $55k to empower  differently-abled crafters; $21k directly to crafters and $34k to charities.

Goal 10 - Reduce Inequality

We provide opportunities for differently-abled crafters. Currently, we support ~80 crafters;  empowering warriors with special needs, terminal illness, women, seniors in isolation & people who lost their job due to Covid-19.

Goal 12 - Responsible Consumption & Production

We collect fabrics scraps from TD FabricsSofthome and individual donors. We also promote Eco-Friendly gifts to reduce single-use plastic.

Goal 17 - Partnerships for the Goal

We collaborate with other SE & charities to achieve common good. Since 2018, we have worked with 924 volunteers over 2,547 hours. Together with NorthWest CDC, we partner with 10 charities and SE.
